How to convert a question paper PDF into an online test
To convert a question paper PDF into an online test, upload it to a digitising tool that can read questions, options, answers and diagrams, review the extracted questions, tag them by chapter and topic, and assemble them into a test with the right marking scheme. With Webodhi this takes five steps and no retyping.
Updated
Before you start
- Collect the question paper and, if you have them, its answer key and solutions. Answer pages let the AI fill in correct answers.
- Scan pages straight and well lit. A phone photo is fine if the page is flat and in focus.
- Use PDF, JPEG, PNG, WebP or GIF files up to 50 MB each.
Step by step in Webodhi
- Open Digitise and drop, paste or choose the files, then select the pages to process.
- Webodhi's AI extracts each question, its options, the answer and any worked solution, crops diagrams and writes equations as LaTeX.
- Each question is tagged by subject, chapter, topic, grade and difficulty.
- Review the drafts: correct anything misread, check answers and diagrams, and remove logos or watermarks from crops.
- Publish to your private question bank, then build a test with a preset (KCET, NEET or JEE Main) or your own marking scheme.
Tips for better results
- Include answer-key pages in the same upload.
- Process one paper at a time so tags and answers stay together.
- Use the history screen to resume a long paper later.
Cost
1 AI credit digitises 1 page: ₹5 per page on the Starter plan, with monthly credits included in packages.
Questions and answers
Can AI convert a scanned question paper into an online test?
Yes. Tools like Webodhi use AI to read scanned papers, extract questions, options, answers and diagrams, and turn them into an online test after a teacher reviews them.
Do I need to retype questions with diagrams and equations?
Not with Webodhi. Diagrams are cropped from the scan and equations are written as LaTeX automatically.
