How to conduct a computer-based exam without internet
To run a computer-based exam without internet, serve the exam from a computer on the campus network instead of the cloud. With Webodhi, one Windows PC runs the Webodhi Exam Hub; student devices on the same network take the test from it, and results upload once the internet returns.

Your options
- Paper exams with OMR sheets: no devices needed, but printing and scanning take time.
- A dedicated local exam server: works, but needs hardware and IT support.
- A local exam hub on an ordinary PC: the Webodhi Exam Hub runs on any 64-bit Windows PC with nothing else to install.
The day before
- While online, sign in on the hub PC and download the exam to the Exam Hub.
- Make sure every student device has the Webodhi app installed and updated.
- Check that student devices and the hub PC are on the same network, with Wi-Fi client isolation off and TCP port 8000 and mDNS (UDP 5353) allowed.
- Run a short test with a few devices.
On exam day
- Start the Exam Hub and keep the PC plugged in and awake.
- Students open the Webodhi app, choose Offline and sign in with their username.
- Follow who has started and submitted on the Offline exams page in Webodhi.
- When the internet is back, let the hub upload the results.
